Decision Sciences Chief Physicist Dr. Michael Sossong presented to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) Nuclear & Radiation Studies Board on Wednesday, November 20, 2013. Dr. Sossong discussed Decision Sciences’ groundbreaking security and detection technology – the Multi-Mode Passive Detection System (MMPDS) – which uses muon tomography to accurately, reliably and safely scan for nuclear, radiological, explosive and other contraband threats.
